Even though they’re from Arlington, their hearts are with each other and Virginia Beach! Visiting family and friends in Virginia Beach only reassured Emily & Holton how special this place is. So of course what better location for their Virginia state park engagement photos then First Landing Park! And who better to capture these sunset photos then our leading lady Ashley!
How They Met
Who said you couldn’t mix business with pleasure? After graduating college, Emily & Holton found themselves interning at the same workplace where they just clicked. Now five years later, we can’t wait for their Delta by Marriott wedding next year! Getting all the feels already!
The Proposal
Talk about a romantic getaway! While on vacation in Turks and Caicos, Emily & Holton decided to walk along the beach on their way to dinner. We can already imagine how romantic that was – I mean that sunset must have been GORGEOUS! It was during their walk that Holton asked Emily to marry him! Now it may have been the beautiful beaches of the West Indies but of course Emily said yes!
With this being their first professional photo session, Emily had only one request. To be able to do the famously, fun champagne bottle pop. HECK YES! If we had to put it in order – sessions with dogs come first followed by some champagne showers!
It makes complete sense why Emily & Holton would want to tie the knot in Virginia Beach! Not only did Emily grow up in Virginia Beach, but they have quite a few out-of-town guests! Making Virginia Beach a great destination wedding for them. You have great bars, the beach, and some pretty awesome locals here!
