Okay, how often do you sit around and take pictures of your hands? Once you are proposed to, you suddenly feel yourself turn into a hand model and want to send all your friends and family a photo of your new accessory!

What feels right for you? Based on your job or style, nail polish might not be for you. At the minimum, maintain clean and groomed nails. If you are open to a clear polish this can do wonders!

Create a Capsule Wardrobe for a Proposal

If you are dealing with decision fatigue on what to wear when you are proposed to… create a capsule wardrobe!! The only decision you should focus on is saying YES!

Steve Jobs was famous for his capsule wardrobe to limit decision fatigue, and if you want to copy his and wear jeans and turtle neck every day, we aren’t here to judge!

But what we can learn from this move is picking out a style and color palette you feel confident in makes it SO much easier to get dressed and not worry if tonight is the big night. One of our favorite ways to do this is search the season and year, such as ‘Winter 2024 Capsule Wardrobe’ and make a Pinterest Board. You might be surprised by how many items you already have for your capsule wardrobe!

Live in the moment

If we can leave you with any advice when it comes to how to prepare to be proposed to, it would be to *try* to live in the moment. We know, easier said than done!! But don’t forget, your partner has a plan. They know you, they love you, and they are going to make sure it is perfect for YOU.

There might be times that you think, this would be the perfect time to propose, and you leave feeling disappointed if that isn’t the case, rather than enjoying these fun and special moments leading up to the exact right time.

While you are in this season before a proposal, don’t forget to schedule fun date nights with no pressure. And when the proposal does come, don’t forget to CELEBRATE!
