Ashley & Jon’s Festival on 8th Wedding

Ashley and Jon’s Festival on 8th wedding in Virginia Beach, VA, was a romantic dream. A candle-lit ceremony in front of a fireplace, a cozy reception packed with great dance moves, and a fairytale ending lit up the evening. (pun intended) The perfect day for these two beautiful humans! Who also might look a little familiar; check out their downtown engagement portraits from last year!

Jon and Ashley are perfect for each other. They have infectious smiles as soon as they’re near each other. I’m not sure Jon ever stopped checking Ashley out, then again, I can’t blame the man she was absolutely stunning. Jon didn’t look too shabby himself, in his blue suit, leather suspenders and floral tie they were perfect together!

Let’s chat about their sunset portraits! If these are not a Virginia Beach dream! We were lucky enough to have amazing light and use a not-so-conventional space….the sidewalk! And of course, I had to take it a step further, and we stopped traffic! Jon and Ashley beaming from ear to ear the whole time, I’m pretty sure Jon’s eyes never left Ashley. (The sweetest thing)

The dance floor was next level and never empty! You’d never guess who was the catalyst for this hype, grandma! Ashley’s grandma was tearing it up! Don’t worry; Jon’s grandma got in on the action too! There were epic karaoke moments, some twerks, and stellar dance moves.

The grand finale was EPIC! Ashley and I had chatted about creating a special final dance a few weeks before the wedding. She saw one of my previous images and fell in love, but we spiced it up a bit! For their final dance, we had all their guests grab their cell phones, turn the lights on, and on the count of three, everyone raised it up together. (Don’t worry, White Cap Films got this epic moment on video!) Ashley and Jon danced to one final song, singing to each other and soaking up the final moments of their Festival on 8th wedding.
