Ciarra & Jason’s Virginia Beach Engagement Portraits
Ciarra and Jason have a gorgeous summer wedding planned at the Women’s Club of Portsmouth next year. We met this fall for their Virginia Beach Engagement Portraits, featuring dune snuggles, and one epic pier!
How they Met…
These cuties are high school sweethearts! (Queue our collective Awe, because we love us some sweethearts!) They crossed paths with each other briefly in 9th grade but didn’t really notice each other until 11th grade. That was until they were both on the swim team! They playfully flirted with each other. Ok, but it doesn’t get cuter than this high school flirtation! They finally exchanged numbers, started talking to each other nonstop, and the rest is history! When Ciarra was asked about how they met, she added this: ‘I’ve been in love with Jason since I was sixteen years old, and even after almost ten years, I still fall more in love with him each day!’ This is exactly why we love our couples, these two are so truly & deeply in love it reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
The Proposal
Now that our tears have dried a little let’s continue with this beautiful love story. How the proposal happened! Ciarra’s birthday happens to fall within the same month as both of her grandpas. (You know our love for grandparents!) She had a joint birthday celebration with her grandpa. Who’s family home is special to Ciarra, as she has so many fond memories there growing up when her grandparents would watch her and her sisters every day after school. As the family was gathered out on the back porch, enjoying each other’s company, Jason declared his love for Ciarra, and got down on one knee and popped the question!
We started their engagement portraits on the shores of Virginia Beach. They snuggled along the dunes and frolicked in the sand as the wind danced around them.
Ciarra & Jason decided on two locations for their Virginia Beach Engagement Portraits. We started on the shore, and then popped over to Chic’s Beach for a truly Virginia feel with a classic fishing pier in the background.
Ciarra changed into a gorgeous white dress, draped in lace she glowed any time Jason got near. Trust us Jason got close, a lot! You can’t give us a pier and not have romantic Nicholas Sparks-inspired photos! Queue the sweet kisses, and the cutest love eyes!
Seriously, look at Jason! You can feel the love this man has for Ciarra. His eyes never left her! We don’t blame him, she looks absolutely stunning! Her glow is goals! We could go on and on about these two, their love story and how much we enjoy watching it unfold from our lens but then we’d have nothing to talk about for their wedding blog.
