Jon & Autumn’s American Rover Wedding

Jon and Autumn’s American Rover wedding was a dream nautical wedding. Well, the original plans were, due to COVID they opted to do a garden wedding at the Fred Heutte Center in Norfolk VA, then we boarded the American Rover for two memorable boat ride receptions!

There are two sides to every story…Autumn and Jon have two different versions of how they met but they both end with Autumn meeting Jon’s little lady, Molly the adorable chocolate brown lab pup, and a boat ride. Needless to say, the rest is history!

As their officiant proceeded through their ceremony, I kept picking up on a few Office references, ‘take mental pictures of the high points’, ring from ‘the bestest mensch’ etc. I quickly connected the dots that they were office fans! Including these little notes to their favorite TV show made their ceremony so personal! Well done Married by Evan!

After their beautiful personal vows, first kiss, and walk down the aisle it was time for the par-tay to begin! The American Rover is a gorgeous boat docked in the Norfolk Harbor at Waterside. The first cruise out featured, their romantic first dance where Jon NAILED the dip, parent dances, toasts, and cake cutting!

While the ship paused to let passangers off, clean, and get ready for the next round of guests (two cruises to keep everyone COVID safe), we created the most dreamy sunset portraits. They even featured Mis Molly!

Last but not least, the final sail! Autumn changed into a cute cocktail dress, Jon in boat shoes, shorts, and a polo! I loved how low key, and fun this sail was! Queue epic twerking, memorial toasts, and plenty of drinks!
