Nick & Kim’s Norfolk Botanical Gardens Engagement Photos
Nick and Kim’s Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront wedding isn’t until next spring, so we got together to do their engagement photos at The Norfolk Botanical Gardens while they were home this summer.
Nick and Kim have been together for over 6 years now, having met in college several times during their Greek Life activities. They each kept an eye on one another but it wasn’t until Nick took the first leap that they began their love story.
This past October, on what Kim expected to be a pumpkin picking trip, Nick swept her off her feet to a near by lake in Chicago. He expressed is love for Kim, got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife….obviously she said yes! If you’ve met these two, you have no doubt they were meant for one another.
Since they’ll have a gorgeous beachfront wedding next year, Nick and Kim wanted to add in a natural location. The Norfolk Botanical Gardens is the perfect Hampton Roads engagement portrait location. We strolled through the rose garden, past the tropical gardens, and to the Renaissance Court. Always chatting about their life in Chicago, fun boat trips with family, and of course these wild times we live in!
I always suggest starting in your formal outfits for engagement portraits. The Norfolk Botanical Gardens was the perfect setting for Nick and Kim’s formal attire. Kim’s sundress danced perfectly through the rose gardens and Nick in his khaki pants and cotton dress shirt, basically together they looked like the picture-perfect picnic date.
If you’ve scrolled this far, I know you’re obsessed with how adorable these two are! Well, I have good news for you! The party just got started with these two! Check out Part 2 of their engagement portraits!!
