The Hogan’s were traveling to Hawaii and wanted to capture their beautiful daughters first birthday photos while here. We planned a sunrise session at Keana Point on the North Shore of Oahu not far from their accommodations at Turtle Bay. Unfortunately when we arrived at Keana Point we were greeted with wind and some rain showers. After a few family photos we realized that their daughter wasn’t too pleased with the wind. We decided to venture down to Haleiwa and finish their session where the wind wasn’t so strong and Miss Sienna could enjoy her first birthday photos. 

As a family they walked along the beach, sang songs to get Miss Siena and her cousin Ava to smile, and even shed a few adorable tears. In the end we successfully achieved the sweetest first birthday photos for a very beautiful little girl. 

However, my favorite part? I joked with them that since they were traveling from Buffalo I joyfully accepted Duff’s wing sauce. (Duff’s Wings are a stable in Buffalo) So once our session was done, they made my entire week by bringing me Duff’s wing sauce 3,000+ miles to Hawaii. I can’t tell you how wonderful a small taste of home felt!
