Kara & Patrick’s Downtown Norfolk Elopement

Kara and Patrick’s Downtown Norfolk Elopement was a romantic rainy day to celebrate their beautiful love story! They began the day at the Norfolk Courthouse, where they exchanged their vows and made it official. We’re always bummed that we don’t get to see this portion of a courthouse elopement, but we’re also romantics who love the aspect of a moment for two people.

How they met

Dating app for the win!! Patrick was a college baseball coach, so he told Kara seeing him would be difficult with his schedule. Then Mother Nature stepped in! He had many games rained out, allowing them to spend more time together. Patrick often jokes that he thought Kara was bad luck at first; jokes on him she was his good luck charm! Kara often reminds him that life redirected him. Fast forward, and they both now work together in the baseball industry.

The Downtown Norfolk Elopement

Kara and Patrick slipped into the Norfolk Courthouse on a rainy day to make things legit. After they busted out of the courthouse, they were celebrated by their close families. They took pictures with them. Then, the adventure began

Kara and Patrick love downtown Norfolk; the vintage buildings have the vibes just right. They strolled along the streets in the rain with their shades, Kara’s veil dancing in the wind and Patrick’s eyes rarely leaving her. They wanted to finish off their elopement by popping champagne on one of the parking lots overlooking downtown. The rain couldn’t dampen their plans, so we added cute umbrellas. Talk about romance! Once the champagne had popped, it was time to sip and celebrate their beautiful love story!
