Emily & Matt’s Lesner Inn Wedding

Emily and Matt’s Lesner Inn Wedding was made of pure magic! To begin with these two are perfectly matched, they fit together seamlessly, and you can see the proof every time Matt lays eyes on Emily.

We started the day at the Delta Marriott just down the way from the Lesner Inn. Emily was cool, calm and collected, surrounded by her mom, sisters, aunts, and Matt’s mom. This combination was a riot. I knew Emily’s mom Cathy before the wedding, in fact, I was so excited to finally give her a hug! We had spent time on the phone, and email; I could tell this woman was genuinely wonderful. Emily is just as sweet as Cathy. Let’s just say I have a big love for this mother-daughter duo, then I met her aunts (thanks to one of them who snuck me up to the room) and her sisters that had her back from the get-go! Last but currently not least is Matt’s mom Lori, she was beaming with love and pride all day long!

Matt on the other hand was just chilling a few doors down with his best man Donnie and THE star of the portraits, ring bearer Emmitt! He came out of those doors, ready to party and he didn’t stop until the end of the night! Matt and Donnie, chatted about cobia fishing while I had them posed, and worked in a few laughs too.

My favorite part of the day was their ceremony, and not for the typical, ‘it was so romantic’ reason. I know Matt and Emily are meant to be because mother nature showed us. It felt like hurricane-force winds outside, but as soon as Emily turned the corner and walk down the aisle, it all went calm. The wind died down to near nothing, and it stayed that way for the entire ceremony. Without a beat, it picked back up right after. Tell me that isn’t a sign these two souls were meant to be!?

The rest of the evening was spent celebrating these two wonderful humans! Meaningful, heartfelt speeches about Emily’s kind heart and Matt’s steady character. They danced and danced, Emmitt obviously keeping the dance floor hopping. They ended the evening with a sparkler send-off into their newlywed journey!
