Fun Engagement Portraits | Mini Golf Engagement Photos

Kristen and Gabe know how to have fun. So it was only logical that their engagement portraits start out with a little fun too! Here, we want to create engagement portraits that are an experience, that balance the traditional portraits your moms will love, while also celebrating this era of your relationship. What’s your favorite date night? Let’s do Mini Golf Engagement Photos! Yes Please!

We picked up Kristen & Gabe from their OBX Beach house for the week, and drove a few minutes down the road to the mini golf course at Corolla Adventure Golf! All four of us played putt-putt, giggled through each hole, and skipped a couple in the name of photos! We started around 4pm in the summer, so the course wasn’t too busy, but it also meant we didn’t want to be out too long and catch a sunburn.

Why no sunburn? Well, first off, we love sunscreen to be safe, but they did have the second half of their fun engagement portraits to go. This took place at the OBX beach house for the week, right on the beach as the sun set, and the waves crashed at their feet.

Back to the fun part! Kristen had their cutest golf dress and lobster socks! Gabe chose a golf polo and shorts, with a hat! While yes, we got a few posed photos, they were able to play; my girl Kristen got a hole in one!!! Well, in full transparency, so did Gabe, but GO KRISTEN!!! (We enjoy fun and competition around here) Letting the two of them genuinely make memories is my favorite; it was also a great time for us to break the ice of ‘hey they person we just met has to be close to us while we kiss and then follow us around on our wedding day,’ if you know what I mean.

Once we wer done with Mini Golf engagement photos, they had about an hour to change, freshen up and then we’d start the beach portraits. The perfect way to refresh, and have that balance between traditional and non-tradtional engagement photos.
