Maggie & Jared’s Downtown Richmond Elopement
This Downtown Richmond Elopement is what RVA dreams are made of. Maggie and Jared decided that they wanted to celebrate their love where it started, in downtown Richmond.
How they Met…
They met in December 2019 while both working at Three Notch’d Brewery in Charlottesville. Jared was a bartender, and Maggie was waiting tables. There was an immediate connection, and one where all the rest of the staff knew they liked each other and would eventually get together. Shout out to friends who see love and encourage it!
The Elopement Day!
Maggie and Jared’s family are all over the US, and they knew their parents were planning to be in the area at the beginning of September, the perfect time to get married. Their families gathered at Libby Hill to witness these two incredible individuals commit to forever. While their families prepared for their ceremony, Maggie and Jared wanted to spend time together, where the beginning of their love story blossomed.
We ventured around downtown Richmond. Started at the Richmond Main Street Station for some dramatic portraits. Maggie was stunning in her cream dress and veil with a pop of texture, making it difficult for Jared to take his eyes off her. Jared himself looked like Mr GQ in his black suit. They stepped it up a notch half through our RVA stroll and added their signature leather jackets. Here’s the truth: your elopement should look and feel exactly like the two of you. Add in the spice, and choose the flare that makes you happy!
We walked around downtown Richmond, and Maggie and Jared asked if it would be ok if we stepped into their favorite bar/brewery when they loved there. Duh!! Plus, it was a Buffalo Bills brewery, say less! I’m there! I love full-circle moments, which just felt right for these two beautiful souls. They shared a beer where they took the time to get to know each other, where they shared so many beginning memories.
As the sun began to set, Maggie’s dad walked her down the path to Jared, surrounded by their families at Libby Hill Park overlooking downtown Richmond. Their good friend married them in front of the fountain, and their parents looked at them with tears in their eyes. Talk about a romantic downtown Richmond elopement.
