Jessica & Tyler’s Intimate Wedding in the Adirondacks Ny
Tyler & Jess were in the friend zone. They grew up together and hung around in the same friend group, but nothing more. Tyler would drive out of his way to take Jess to school each day, so maybe there was a little more love than two teenagers realized. They didn’t move things out of the friend’s zone until they reconnected as sophomores in college. Since then, they haven’t left each other side. Turns out those ‘out of the way’ drives paid off. Fast forward over ten years to their intimate wedding in the Adirondacks, NY.
The Proposal…
Jess would tag along on Tyler’s family vacations to Rockport, MA. It quickly became a special place for Tyler & Jess, returning nearly every year. In the evenings, they would find their favorite secluded, rocky point of the beach to people watch, find shells and soak in the sunsets. When Tyler asked Jess if she wanted to go walk and see the sunset, it didn’t hit her what was about to happen. Tyler walked her out to their rocky spot, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him! She obviously said YES!!! To top it off, Tyler invited their close friends to celebrate!
The Wedding
Tyler & Jess knew they didn’t want a big wedding. In fact, they may have eloped if it wasn’t for including their families. Why not include the best of both worlds? An intimate wedding, with just family to celebrate! Their families made the guest list of 15, with a toast given by Jess’ mom and endless smiles at these two beautifully matched souls said I Do!
They opted for a sweet first look and included their vows. Jess had us all in tears with her vows that documented their younger years and how proud Tyler’s mom would be of them. Tyler couldn’t take his eyes off Jess.
Tyler & Jess officially said I Do in a short intimate ceremony overlooking the Adirondacks at AKaydia Boutique Stays. Both were in tears as Jess walked down the aisle, escorted by her proud brothers. Jess gently wiped away Tyler’s tears as they committed to forever. These two were meant to be forever from the moment Tyler drove out of his way to pick Jess up for school.
I met Jess & Tyler last year at Jess’ best friend’s wedding. She was a bridesmaid, we sang Whitney Houston together and the rest is history. Tyler, on the other hand I met with a well-timed joke. Luckily he had a great sense of humor! At Olivia & Colby’s wedding he was sitting alone at the grand head table, waiting for the rest of the table to arrive. In a sea of guests seated in their proper spots, he was rolling completely solo at this head table…for a while. Naturally, I had to break the ice for him. I said, ‘Hey, if you’re trying to wedding crash, you definitely picked the wrong seat. Rookie mistake’ Thankfully, Tyler laughed, I later found out who he belonged to, and we all had a good chuckle!
