Lauren and Nate met in their high school psychology class when they were paired up for a project, they haven’t left each other’s side since! They’ve even ventured to Maryland together where they have created a beautiful life with their kitty and snake baby! On September 18th they gathered their closest loved ones at Herrington On The Bay for a tropical dream wedding!

The Proposal

Before we dive into their wedding day, let’s begin with the cutest engagement story! They had been playing a silly game all day where they would hide a penny in one of their hands and the other one had to guess the right one. On their way home from dinner, Nate asked Lauren to pick a hand, and when he opened it, one hand had “Will you marry me?” written on it, and the other had the ring! How darn romantic is that!?

The Wedding

Lauren and Nate couldn’t have picked a better day, the sun was shining, and not a cloud in the sky as Nate’s uncle married them. In the middle of the ceremony, Nate’s uncle asked a few selected couples to stand up and give marriage advice to the couple. Each couple had been married 20, 30, and 40 years married. They each gave sound advice and big congratulations to the couple. Then Nate’s grandma Trudy stood up, she and Nate’s grandfather had been together for well over 40 years before his passing. She gave the sweetest advice of them all ‘Remember to take time for your love. Go grab a soda together, just the two of you, and take care of your love’ Grandma Trudy is spot on!

Lauren’s dad started off the heart-felt toasts with well-wishes for this little girl and new son-in-law. Both Lauren’s Maid of Honor and Nate’s best man gave the perfect speeches touting their love for Lauren and Nate! We all also learn about Nate’s secret superpower, rapping. He even chose amazing underground rap instrumentals for dinner music, needless to say we were all impressed!

Lauren and Nate spent the night on their crowded dance floor tearing it up with Grandma Trudy, their siblings, and their closest friends! To end the evening they had a grand sparkler exit surrounding by all their guests!
