Nick & Tani’s Sackets Harbor Wedding
Where do I even begin with this Sackets Harbor wedding? We should probably begin with the fact that this intimate wedding was not Nick & Tani’s original plan. They had a larger wedding planned in Alexandria Bay.
When COVID hit my girl Tani called me up worried about restrictions and the safety of a few of her most important guests, her grandparents. Worth mentioning, she was in fact test my ‘I’m your girl’ slogan by coming to me for advice. I think she’d say I passed the test.
We went over options, questions to ask her venue, and actions to take if alternate plans were best. The stars aligned and they decided to split their wedding up into two amazing events! A marriage so nice they’ll celebrate it twice! This intimate wedding, with just their parents & grandparents. Next August they’ll celebrate their love with their close family and friends at a brewery in Buffalo NY! Hello, perfection!!
I do my best to be there for my couple during covid, create plan b’s and support decisions that are right for my couples. Tani and Nick were no different. I would say their nuptials were just right.
The moment I arrived, Tani came right out and screamed how excited she was to FINALLY meet me, the emotions were the same for me! I love getting to know my couples, and my 2020 & 2021 couples and I have a deep bond after this year. Basically Tani made me feel so loved from the moment she saw me on HER wedding day. I will never forget that feeling.
The LOVE story..
Let’s talk about these two, Nick and Tani met ten years ago through friends, they hit it off, but they both had other paths to venture down. A couple years later, a Dave Mathews Band Concert (which I also was likely at, am I their permanent 3rd wheel?), and a new spark they began dating! It is worth noting, that my girl Tani did in fact, drunk dial Nick, and sang ‘Oh My Darling’ to his voicemail. If that doesn’t say marry her, I don’t know what does.
Well a few more years later Nick, on his boat wonderfully names Buttnicked, proposed to Tani and she said ‘Duh’.
Lastly, they married each other at sunset in Sackets Harbor, had their first dance serenaded by a guitarist to worked in Drake lyrics, ate cake after months of dieting, and ended the night at a pizza place. There may never be a day so ‘Nick & Tani’ again, but we’ll certainly try and top it in August!
If you love Nick & Tani’s intimate wedding you’ll love Julia & Andrews micro beach wedding!
