Andrew & Julia’s Outer Banks Intimate Wedding

What does beer pong and Mighty Ducks have in common? Nothing, but they brought Andrew and Julia together during college and the rest is history! Ten years later they gathered their families for their Outer Banks intimate wedding.

Eight months ago Andrew set up a happy hour for just him and Julia at their home. Fit with snacks, two old fashions, and ABBA on the record player. Julia, not paying attention sat down and started snacking, don’t blame a girl for digging in! Andrew couldn’t wait another minute, he pulled a ring box from the couch, got down on one knee, and asked Julia to marry him. She obviously said yes!

Their gallery is complete with laughter, cute nose scrunch moments, and even their adorable little fur baby Senna! Senna was a big part of their day, he sported the cutest bow tie, worked all the right angles, and enjoyed his fancy day at the beach!

Andrew and Julia’s intimate wedding was emotional, heart felt, sprinkled with laughter and non-stop smiles. Julia’s brother and Andrew’s sister both gave special readings. Each person there for them had a part in their ceremony, weaving each family together.

After they said I do, married by Rev Jay, they toasted to their future. My favorite part, they stood with their families laughing and sharing stories. Every person in that circle was beaming with happiness for Andrew and Julia, his mom joshing him about something, and Julia’s mom couldn’t wipe the smile away. Then commenced the impromptu karaoke session, family portraits, and more laughs.

Andrew and Julia wanted to create a laid-back, intimate event for their families. They wanted their gallery to show candid moments, of what their day was really like. So we had a phone date to go over what they were envisioning so their photography would fit perfectly. I am happy to report it fit like a glove!

As the sun set on their Outer Banks intimate wedding we concluded with bride and groom photos while their guests returned to their rental home to prepare a feast. It didn’t take much for these two cuties to jump right into portraits. Andrew couldn’t keep his eyes off his bride, and Julia was glowing.
