James and Melissa met while they were both working at UNC. Since then they’ve bought a house, graduated with their masters, loved their adorable dog Charlie and this fall they’ll get married in OBX! During their recent trip to the Outer Banks we took their engagement photos at Jockey’s Ridge State Park.
First things first, if you’re going to include your fur baby in your engagement photos I’ll need time to love them before we start. Yes, I am a huge animal lover and I take advantage of tail wages and slobbery kisses! As you can see Charlie was no exception! He was such a good boy tagging along, adding his own appearances to photos and even got a few solo shots!
Once we were done cruising around the sand dunes we headed over to Pamlico Jack’s for a sunset beer. Mother Nature did not disappoint! James & Melissa and their third wheel…aka me, grabbed a drink and walked out to the pier to watch an Outer Banks sunset over the sound. The sky lit up with soft oranges and pinks.
