Their celebration was the perfect reflection of their relationship. It was thoughtful, genuine, and full of heart, set against the charming historic architecture and fresh spring ambiance of downtown Leesburg’s Birkby House.

How They Met

Marin and Sean first crossed paths at work, they are both employees of Wegmans. Marin worked in HR, and Sean served as a produce manager.

What began as workplace friendship grew into something deeper, supported by everyday moments, shared laughs, and the comfortable rhythm of simply enjoying life side by side.

The Proposal

Their engagement story is sweet, spontaneous, and full of emotion. Sean suggested a casual walk through Banshee Reeks, one of their peaceful local escapes.

On a quiet dock overlooking the water, he asked Marin to marry him…while a few unsuspecting dads and their kids were nearby fishing. Marin laughed that she felt flustered and shy with an audience, making the moment quick and sweet.

One of her bridesmen was secretly there capturing the entire thing in photos, then the couple continued on to Stone Tower Winery, where Marin walked into a surprise gathering of both families and friends ready to celebrate their engagement.

Marin & Sean’s Favorites

Their favorite place to be is home with their puppy, Kobi, enjoying quiet time in the same room, whether cooking, relaxing, or watching Sunday night football.

Their ideal date night is an early dinner out followed by milkshakes or ice cream from The Yard or Bruster’s, and ending the night cuddled up at home with football on.

They have a running takeout tradition: Marin gets sushi, Sean gets a burger or they compromise with Thai!

Their Wedding Day

Marin & Sean had such a wonderful day at The Birkby House in Downtown Leesburg. This was the perfect Spring day, complete with a little spring shower that allowed them a moment to dance in the rain (with clear umbrellas of course!!) One of their favorite moments of the day was having Fireworks Pizza deliver late-night pizza on the dance floor, with a fun custom pizza box!
