Julia & Brooke’s Fall Wedding at Early Mountain Vineyards
I’m not even sure where to begin with these two sweethearts. They’re the kind of humans that every one lights up about. Each guest who spoke with me about Julia & Brooke spoke of their love, authenticity, and how they have become their true selves since finding each other. That’s love if I’ve ever heard it. Two people commit to their true selves with the person who gives them the love and support to be who they are. Julia and Brookes’s fall wedding at Early Mountain Vineyards was the perfect celebration of this love.
Now, it wasn’t a perfect day. Mother Nature decided to have a party of her own and invite a tropical storm along for the festivities. However, it was a beautifully romantic day. Their romantic candle lit ceremony had many in tears, and their epic band-fueled reception had every single person on their feet…including a special guest!
Let’s start with the beginning. Julia and Brooke met at UVA Law School. Julia remembers seeing Brooke on the first day, during orientation…Brooke was a little distracted by the professor playing Karate Kid. They were friends for a year and then started dating their sophomore year, and they’ve been together ever since. Once you see these two together, you can see exactly how perfect they are for one another.
Their fall wedding at Early Mountain Vineyards started with all their favorite ladies packed into the bridal cottage, singing karaoke, and rapping Eminem as they got ready. After Julia & Brooke got ready, they had a sweet first look on the porch, perfectly sheltered from the wind & rain. I’m beyond obsessed with Julia’s sleeves and Brooke’s gangster suit look.
Their ceremony moved inside due to the weather but that didn’t diminish the romance. Julia & Brooke, with their fathers, walked down the candle lined aisle to their forever. Brooke’s family friend married them while they laughed, quoted Andy Grammer together, and shed a few tears. It was so sweet to watch them hold hands as another close family friend did a few readings, never losing contact. I could go on and on about the beauty in their love!!!
Then came the party!!! This party was epic! Starting with toasts that had everyone laughing and shedding a few tears. Then came the surprises! As the band got the dance party started, Julia and Brooke took some time for themselves. I grabbed the cake & champagne while they began to change into outfit number two! I highly recommend this move to every couple now! Steal some cake & champagne and go be together! They toasted and Julia got Brooke back for her cake smash. These second outfits weren’t just any outfits! Julia wanted to surprise her mom (my new BFF) by wearing her wedding dress!! She had it shortened, and it was fun & gorgeous!!! Brooke slipped into sweet high tops and a lace moto jacket. Like I said, PERFECTION!!!
The surprises kept on coming as the night unfolded! Cav Man, the mascot for UVA, even made an appearance!! Julia had been keeping this one under wraps for Brooke and it paid off! Brooke was so surprised and excited! He danced the night with their guests as the band kept the dance floor packed all night long! The perfectly imperfect, insanely romantic fall wedding at Early Mountain Vineyards!
