If you have never spent some time walking around the Downtown Norfolk, take this as your sign to explore all around the Pagoda, Downtown, and Waterside! Norfolk Waterside was the perfect spot to capture Aicha and Brandon’s engagement photos, because they had their first date there during Norfolk’s Harbor Festival!
How they met
After meeting through mutual friends over 8 years ago, Brandon knew Aisha was the one. She might have thought he was joking when he would say “You know we are going to get married one day, right?” but little did she know back then that it would become true!
The Proposal
Brandon wanted to make the proposal a surprise so before they went to Aicha’s parents house he drove her around in circles to throw her off. He then brought her down to propose at the gazebo of Aicha’s parent’s beach house. Spoiler alert: she said yes!
For Brand and Aicha’s Norfolk Waterside Engagement photos, we started the evening by walking around the Pagoda and Waterside ships before making our way to waterside park where Brandon said, “Can we do some awkward JC Penney style photos?” NONE of us could keep a straight face for these. It was the perfect way to capture how they are each other’s best friend and have the absolute best time together.
Then, it was time for a slice of pizza!! We headed into Downtown Norfolk to grab a slice of cheese pizza from Benny’s. Brandon and Aicha’s perfect date night would be to wander around a downtown before grabbing some food and then heading home to watch a movie. Their engagement photos were the perfect capture of a fun date night for them.
These two always have the best time together and their love is magnetic. We can’t wait for their spring wedding at the Kellam Estate!
