Dee and Thomas created beautiful lives and children, so the final puzzle piece fit into place when they met. While things may not have happened quickly, the wheels of fate started turning. Fast forward to their wedding at Assembly Norfolk with their closest humans and a day filled with so much love, a lot of laughs, and a few inside jokes.

How They Met

One day, a florist went to the bank. The florist met a banker, and everything seemed normal. The florist is Dee, and the Banker is Thomas; they talked business for a few minutes, but the conversation easily redirected to gardens and flowers. Thomas admits he bragged about his little garden unknowing that Dee is a master gardener, in true Dee fashion she didn’t let on or discourage his excitment. At the end of the meeting, Dee gives Thomas her card, and they go on their merry way. Six months later, they match on a dating app… Thomas didn’t miss his shot this time with Dee; they’ve been cracking jokes together ever since.

The Wedding

On the perfect June day, Dee got ready with their girls, her mom, and a close friend at the Glasslight Hotel. A room filled with music, beautiful female energy, and excitement. After she was ready, we met Thomas at one of Dee’s gardens in Norfolk. Their intimate first look was so damn cute! They read their vows under a gorgeous magnolia tree as a blue heron looked on along the water.

They committed to forever at the Larchmont UMC church in their historical sanctuary, with beautiful stained glass windows, so much love you could feel, and, of course, flowers! Dee promised to go to one wrestling event a year with Thomas, and Thomas promised not to assume he is a garden expert and leave that to Dee.

After the ceremony, it’s time to party! They gathered their guests at Assembly Norfolk on Grandby Street for a stunning rooftop evening. Dee and Thomas had their first dance under the glow of golden hour and then tore up the dance floor with family and friends. Watching their two lives come together was amazing; their friends mingled, families laughed together, and it was simply beautiful to see these two lives weave into one.
