Brittany & Isak’s Richmond VA Elopement

Brittany and Isak wanted a simple day to celebrate their love. That’s exactly what they did for their Richmond, VA Elopement. They traveled from Colorado back to the place they love, Richmond. Don’t forget their sweet pups, Little Bear and Sadie!

Brittany and Isak met online and soon hit it off. It wasn’t until their move to Colorado that Isak proposed to Brittany on a mountain in Aspen. Brittany said yes, and they began to plan their best day. That day included just the two of them and their pups!

They exchanged vows in the park at the Capital Building. Under a beautiful magnolia tree with their dogs looking on, they exchanged vows. Just two people together committing to forever. Isak made Brittany laugh and cry while Brittany had Isak laughing and his heart bursting with love.

Once they spoke their views, we began adventuring around downtown Richmond, VA. We began taking photos in the park and the Captial Building before going to their accommodations at The Commonwealth in downtown Richmond, VA. We captured a few more portraits with Little Bear & Sadie before letting them lounge in their suite for the remainder of the afternoon.

We set off around the downtown area for the Richmond, VA, Elopement. Making stops at their favorite alley…yes, you hear that right! Brittany & Isak unlocked a new photographer level for Cat with this choice! They danced in the dirty alleyway, laughing and beaming with love. So we’ll capture love in a dirty alley any time!

As we were taking portraits in the streets a lady came up to us and asked if we wanted to use their rooftop for photos. Uh, YES PLEASE!! The First National Apartments graciously let us use their rooftop which perfectly overlooked the Captial and the beautiful sky of Richmond. Thank again for being so lovely and making this a highlight of their day!
