The Proposal…
There’s always two sides to a story, that’s definetly the case for Colleen & Eric’s proposal story. Eric’s version: ‘I proposed to Colleen at one of our favorite hangout spots on the river (rocks at 42nd) and although we had discussed it and she knew I had ordered the ring I managed to catch her totally by surprise!’ And how Colleen tells it : ‘We love going to the river on nice days in the summer. We had gotten into a routine of packing some drinks, stopping by Chipotle for burritos to bring with us, and setting up a spot on the rocks. The routine felt totally normal and I didn’t suspect anything at all. We get there and I get in the water with my drink as I always do. After swimming for a while, he asks me if I want to get out to grab a second drink. We both get on the rock and think he’s rummaging through the bag to grab the drinks, and he whips the ring out instead. I was so surprised! It was perfect- our favorite routine in our favorite place, and we still had time to swim until the sun set that evening.’
Colleen & Eric bought their home about a year ago a historical row home, in the Museum District of Richmond. It was the perfect palce to begin their Richmond Museum District Engagement Portraits. They shared a glass of wine, while Danielle photographed them in their front porch, chatting and giggling. Then they ventured around the corner to thier mural, dancing along the sidewalk. They strolled through the tree lined streets while cat calling each other, and having fun. To finish the evening they caught the sunset on their rooftop deck, with big smiles and all the giggles!
