Sanderling Resort Wedding in OBX

Amanda & Matt’s Sanderling Resort Wedding in OBX

When Amanda and Matt described their wedding, they said, ‘We want to be on vacation and just so happen to get married’ I have to agree that’s exactly what they did! Their Sanderling Resort Wedding in OBX couldn’t have been a more relaxed and chill wedding day. Not to mention the fabulous weather, excited humans in attendance, and not to mention their oh so adorable fur babies!! It was the perfect OBX wedding day!

Amanda began her day at the Sanderling Spa getting pampered with her girls while her Man of Honor ensured their fur babies, Katy & Midnight, were spoiled. Amanda was calm and relaxed. Sure of what she was preparing to commit to with the person she loves most in this world, Matt. Matt, on the other hand, was excited. He paced, some would say like a shark, with excitement! He was marrying his best friend! If you’ve ever seen these two together, Matt lights up when he looks at Amanda, so it’s no surprise he was

If you’ve ever seen these two together, Matt lights up when he looks at Amanda, so it’s no surprise he was excited!

That same excitement beamed from Matt as he caught the first glimpse of his bride as she and her dad stepped out of the Sanderling. This big smile came over his face, and his eyes were literally sparkling! Just before this moment, it’s worth noting he also had big smiles (just not as big as the one for Amanda) for his Corgi Katy as she strolled down the aisle and got a few extra lovin’s. He chuckled as midnight beelined it for the stage. These three make my heart happy. Just witnessing their smiles, happiness and overall joy is remarkable.

After family and bridal party portraits, we snuck out to the beach for a few moments for just Amanda and Matt. Walking along the water, strolling past the dunes, and stealing a few kisses in too. The moment that got me here was their walk back. As they walked back, Matt brought Amanda’s hand up to look at her ring. While I couldn’t see his face, I knew for a fact he was beaming with love at its sight!

They casually strolled into their reception to join their closest people, which gave way to a romantic sunset first dance. Followed by the proudest father-daughter and mother-son dance, you could feel the pride radiating off their parents! This was confirmed with a speech by Amanda’s dad, who couldn’t help by brag about his daughter and also shared in the delight of adding another Lawyer & hockey fan to the family! Amanda’s brother, aka Man of Honor, gave an emotional speech of how happy he was to have Matt in their family and just how amazing he thinks his sister is.

Then it was time for White Ford Bronco, so get the real party started! Let me tell you, this 90s cover band made sure the dance floor was filled! Everyone rocking out, belting out the ballads, and twirling each other around the dance floor. I even caught myself joining in, but that’s not a surprise!
