Matt & Maggie’s Early Mountain Vineyards Wedding
Matt first laid his eyes on his wife in the 7th grade, Maggie swears he didn’t see her until her braces were gone, which ever way it happened we’re damn glad it did! The world is a little brighter with these two souls together. Exactly one year after those engagement portraits they gathered their closests family and friends for thier Early Mountain Vineyards wedding!
It was just over a year since Matt brought Maggie out to Charlottesville for the first time. Little did she know he was asking her a very important question. He brought her out to the vines, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him! Hello, Lifetime movie trailer! They then appropriately celebrated with their very own Cabernet Sauvignon!
Now that you’re caught up on their love story, it’s time to start the big day! Maggie was absolutely glowing when we arrived, a big smile on her face and an even bigger hug before we began a magical day! The excitement that buzzed around her little cottage was better than a cup of coffee. All the excitement leading up to her girls finally seeing her dress, these girls were giddy waiting to see this dress…let’s be clear all of us were! I mean look at the back!!!!
Matt on the other hand was hanging with the guys back at the vineyard. Don’t let his cool and calm demeanor fool you, our guy was a bit nervous before he saw Maggie. That’s the reason you have great guys around you, to keep you distracted and have some fun before the big day!
To say their first look had us in tears is 10000% accurate! Matt’s energy to see his bride was a favorite, he couldn’t stop smiling but you also knew he was moments away from losing it as he saw his stunner of a bride! Maggie, well she was beyond excited to finally have Matt see her dress, and see her man looking good in a suit! The moment he turns around, all the tears!
They had to make the last-minute decision to move their wedding ceremony inside as it was a breezy 45 degrees, but if you’re going to go inside, this is the most gorgeous alternative! What a romantic wedding they got to have, cozy, intimate, and lit by candles. My gosh, you can’t go wrong with a wedding at Early Mountain, it’s all soooo good!
As Taylor Swift’s Lover played, Maggie walked down the aisle her forever partner and best friend officiant. In a quick & cozy ceremony, they were Husband and Wife in no time! Afterward, we swiftly stole them outside to grab a few epic sunset portraits with these two lovers.
No prompts needed, Matt looked at me and said ‘Can I touch her’, to which I replied, ‘Absolutely!’ and then this magic unfolded. Just two people head over heels in love drenched in a romantic sunset over the vineyard, the storybook ending!
The rest of their evening was a candle-lit dinner, followed by droppin it low and picking it up slow! Finished with the perfect night cap, waffles!!
