How to Get Married in the Courthouse

Within 60 days of getting your marriage license say ‘I Do’ within the state lines of Virginia.

Pay $50 cash to the onsight Marriage Commissioner to perform your marriage at the courthouse.

Bad news, no cameras or phones are allowed in the courthouse….

How to Get Married outside the Courthouse

Good news, there are marriage commissioners provided by the courthouse available 24 hours to perform your marriage outside the courthouse! This way you can capture your official first kiss! Phew, that was a close one!

You can still get your marriage license, step outside and get married all in the same day.

Return to the courthouse with the completed license so they can record it and make you two official! A certified copy can be requested!
