When you think of lifestyle Holiday photos you typically think of a couple snuggled up together, or a family decorating the tree. For the Cupp’s their holiday photos included their kids, four rescue pups! Felix, Keona, Kiki and of course Penny (she’s the cutie on the back of the couch, you can’t miss her)
These adorable rescue dogs spent the afternoon doing pup tricks, snuggling in a doggie sweater, and riding a sleigh infront of the tree. Each year I share this session as a reminder of how important it is to consider adopting this time of year. Getting a puppy for Christmas is on a lot of lists for Santa. Stopping into your local rescue shelter and giving a cute pup a second chance is a gift that will keep on giving.
I could tell you about each of these dogs stories, like how Kiki the wiener dog chose Hannah by jumping into her arms at the shelter. This year I want to share Penny’s story. Penny the cute tan dear like little pup on the back of the couch was a stray at a homeless camp in Honolulu Hawaii. Hannah volunteered with the local shelter to help rescue as many dogs as possible as the city tore down the homeless camp. Penny needed a foster home and Hannah was quick to give her one. Well it didn’t take long for Felix, Keona and Kiki to convince Hannah and her husband that Penny needed to stay. She was the perfect new additional to their fur family. So when you see Penny in her cute little Christmas sweater here, it was her first. In fact it was her first Christmas in a house. As you can see she was more than excited about it.
Please consider adopting before you shop! Visit your local SPCA or local rescue shelter this holiday season and bring home the perfect furry addition to your family!
