I had to opportunity to tag along with a fellow photog and mentor Rae Marshall (Check her amazing work out at raemarshall.com) on a trip to Kauai. She was photographing a vow renewal at Tunnels Beach. We took an early flight from Oahu, and spent the day exploring around Kauai! 

When traveling for work there isn’t always a lot of time for play and exploring, this time around we took advantage of having a companion and the chance to enjoy our day on Kauai. We started off with exploring Poi Pu a small resort town just 25 minuets from the Lihue airport. We stopped at a cute breakfast spot along the road, ate our acai bowls while laughing at chickens & roosters running around. Next we ventured up to Spouting Horn, wondering the flea market. Next we began our way towards Tunnel’s Beach, an hour drive from the airport. We stopped in Kapaa for a thrift shop, then Hanalei Beach for tacos and lunch on the pier. We ventured down to queens bath, which proved to be entertaining in sandals with camera bags. Sipped on a coconut while waiting for her clients to arrive. The picture perfect relaxing work day if there ever was one.
