I'm Cathryn, the owner and photographer at DeLine Photography. I specialize in capturing everyday love stories! You know, the love story you're currently creating. The one where you laugh at jokes until your stomach hurts but no one else gets them? Or you take road trips to the mountains just to spend time with your person!? 'That can't eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of love!'
When I was a kid, my mom would bring me along to weddings with her. She's a cake baker. I'd help set up cakes, cut & serve them, and deliver them to guests. I would sneak out of the kitchen when my mom wasn't paying attention to watch the first dance. I always remember thinking how perfect that dance was, even the 200th one I watched. That should have been a clue that weddings would be my passion. I couldn't get enough of them! The styling, the bride's dress, how her new husband looked at her, the dancing! Oh my, my young heart would beat a little louder with each wedding.
I married my soulmate, Alex in 2016 and loved creating an event that truly represented who we are. I know how much the handkerchief made from your grandfathers old shirt, or the something borrowed your mother saved for years means to you. I enjoy learning about these details and hearing the excitement of your wedding planning process as we journey to your best day ever. I am not just your trusted photographer, I'm your girl! I'll be hugging your grandma, giving a tissue to your mom, and high-fiving your uncle.
When I'm not busy creating memories with clients, Alex and I enjoy traveling. We've been adventuring around South East Asia over the last three years when we lived in Hawaii. We've explored Thailand, Singapore (our favorite so far), China and Australia (hands down the BEST coffee). We plan our days around coffee shops, must eat foods, and evening happy hours. if we're not traveling we're at home with our cat Alfonzo, listening to the record player, and I'm showing Alex how to win at Scrabble. We love our simple life, creating memories by the shore.
A few of my favorite things: Alfonzo the cat (obviously), watching F R I E N D S, smelling all the flowers, old Volkswagens, Creedence Clearwater Revival, cardinal birds, and all things with a 70s vibe!
Still here!?! Awesomeeee Let's connect!
Once named 'Fabulous Fred', Alfonzo the spoiled Main Coon cat is my everyday assistant. Alfonzo and I's love story began 7 years ago. He's moved from place to place with me, endured long winter days in Buffalo NY, and now resides in his beach house. His days start off with an early morning snack, followed by a series of strategically located naps, and to cap off his day he takes an evening nap. His favorite things are treats, watching the birds out the window, being held over your shoulder like a child, and bed time. You can find him most everyday curled up behind me in the office.
